Please read two chapters from the book\u00a0Being the Change<\/em>, by Peter Kalmus (on which the documentary of the same name was based): \u201cLeaving Fossil fuel<\/a>\u201d and \u201cCollective Action<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

After reading it, please comment on it in the weekly Canvas reading discussion.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, if you find these two chapters interesting, Peter Kalmus has made all of the chapters from\u00a0Being the Change\u00a0<\/em>available for free on\u00a0his personal website<\/a> – which was very kind of him, as he is obviously forgoing royalties in doing so.<\/p>\n

1) If you have not seen\u00a0Happy<\/em>, please watch it. It is available for viewing on GauchoSpace (GauchoCast). If you are not enrolled in the class, it currently can be rented for a relatively modest fee from Amazon.<\/p>\n

2) If you have already seen\u00a0Happy<\/em>, watch it again. It is even better the second time. Seriously!<\/p>\n
